Should I go to church?
What is the Global Christian Church?

The Church is an amazing institution that was created and ordained by God. And, at the GCC, we actively work to build up and support local churches in all that we do. We teach that all Christian Believers should actively participate in a local church assembly if possible. Local church bodies exist to help equip, edify, encourage and exhort us in the ways of the Lord.
When you stop to think about it, there are many very good answers to the question, “Should I go to church?” But, the fact is that only one is needed. God's Word clearly instructs us not to forsake the gathering together of Believers:
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (Hebrews 10:25)
Local church assemblies can be found just about everywhere. Some meet in dedicated 'church' buildings, others may gather together in someone's home, and in some areas local church groups regularly meet outdoors in a tent or even under a tree. So, if you are physically able to do so, you should look for a local church assembly to attend. When searching for a new church home, just remember that it is not so much what the local church can do for you or your family that matters, but rather what you can do for it using your God given talents and spiritual gifts.
A great local church body needs only to be a Bible believing, faith-based group that genuinely loves God and places 100% of their trust in the redemptive power of Jesus Christ, and not in their own good works. If these criteria are met, most everything else will naturally fall into line. In fact, if the people in the local church truly love God, you will find that they will also love you, regardless of who you are, or what you may have ever done! (continued...)
