Should I go to church?
What is the Global Christian Church?
Consider the following Scripture references:
Behold, how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity. (Psalm 133:1)
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (Matthew 22:37-39)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:16-17)
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20)
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (II Peter 3:9)
God actually allowed Jesus to die for us, so that we might call upon Him to be our Lord and Savior. His redemptive plan was made simple for our sakes, and our lives as Christians are just as simple. God loves us, blesses us and provides for us whatever we need. We are only supposed to freely accept what Jesus has already done for us, to love God with all of our heart, mind, soul and strength, and to share His Good News with others. God takes care of everything else!
Instead of doing what God wants us to do in unity and harmony, however, we have created more than 28,000 different denominations through which we continually fight and argue over nonessential doctrines. In so doing, we are weakening the Body of Christ, and allowing the rest of the world to suffer and die and without Christ. It is plain to see that this divisiveness is not of God!
There is certainly no room to ever compromise on matters that constitute the essentials of the Faith. But, on nonessential doctrines we may lovingly agree to disagree if necessary. That is okay. Then, as each of us grows and matures in the Lord, we may expect God to reveal His Truth to us individually regarding those nonessential doctrines. Meanwhile, we should be 100% united as Brothers and Sisters in the Lord. Together, we make up the Body of Christ - the Global Christian Church. It is time we recognize this fact, and for us to all work and function together as God intends.
If you have not done so already, please find a good local church assembly to attend. Also, please take a personal stand for what is right, and get involved in and help support the Global Christian Church today!
